Emotions are the yellow gold.

In response to the wish in the market, at the end of 2015, I developed a software application that made a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data contained in the organization and the available data outside the organization (external company data or open data). A nice visualization of the software, easy to use, easy on and off without having a tray of consultants fly in for € 150, – per hour and a flexible and affordable license model. It was a big success. Exactly what one would like in the big organizations, but what did not exist yet.
Exactly timed, almost a wink, end 2015.

Meanwhile, we are midway through 2017.

I come across many companies that use data, but also companies that consist of data. “Data is the new gold”, I continuously hear people excitedly shout out. There are jobs around data, the discussion is about privacy and The Master of Data Marc Zuckerberg CEO of Facebook is going to be candidate for the US. Or not, because Zuckerberg wants to make Facebook a larger community, where data is the facilitating gold for the user. Think of a “government” that provides information about weather, illness, labor and personalized marketing for products and services. Land transient and the rules are still quite unknown.
Last Tuesday, Google imposed a fine of 2.4 billion euros, the biggest fine so far for using search results (data) for own google gain. Too much, these data are seemingly worthless. My suspicion is that even this amount is not a positive business case.

Nevertheless, I want to introduce something important to all this data violence. Data is ending. Data fits into boxes, is tangible and factual. Data is linear. Black and white. Cause and effect. Yes, data is also error-sensitive, someone has to enter data or develop something that creates data. That’s human.
People have good and less good days, get sick, emotional, in love, angry, or people have emotions, are influential. Unlike robots and data.

Last tuesday I also read an article about A.I. And the application in court and justice systems. It confirmed what I keep repeating.
We are replacing the human being with the ability to think linearly. Remember, learn, repeat. This can be A.I. And this can be the development of technology, robotics now and in the coming years. That means data is now gold, but humanity and emotions are later added value. There is more space and time and attention and added value to data. I mention that some technology can not yet “circulate”. The big question now is how we get the necessary circular thinking people through our current system (education, science, economics, etc.), where the focus has been on linearly thinking people for decades. Use it to your advantage.

I repeat again Emotions are the yellow gold. Data I call the white gold.
